Why Travel With Us

It might be a good idea to confirm a contact number for the guides as the groups move from one location to another just in case there is a problem. When we flew to Xian there was 2 hour delay. We could have possibly given John this information and lessened his wait at the airport. Overall, we were satisfied with the services TCG provided and will definitely use this service again. ... More
1. Meals- the meals were all excellent. We really liked the lunch we had on the second day in Xian.
2. Guides- all of them were excellent. They were easy to understand and gave us plenty of good information about the places we visited.
3. Buses- all the drivers were very helpful and on time. After sightseeing, they were always waiting to pick us up promptly.
Again, many thanks to our travel consultant Sophie for a wonderful holiday. We all have some great memories of China. ... More
Most of the side trips were enjoyable. Great Wall, Terra Cotta Warrior, local food experience and Li River cruise were particularly impressive. Accommodations on the Yangtze River cruise were five star although the food was pedestrian.
There was so much to see that time spent at each attraction was limited. This was particularly frustrating during our museum visits. Very interesting but needed more time to observe all of the exhibits, some dating 4000 years ago, were simply magnificent.
Would highly recommend TravelChinaGuide to everyone. They went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our experience. ... More
Most of the meals were very good, but at times we felt we were offered more food than was needed and so there was quite a bit of waste. We really enjoyed the buffet dinner during Yangtze Cruise where we were able to choose between Chinese and Western style food.
All the guides were extremely knowledgeable and we enjoyed all of them. We felt that our guide in Beijing, Jason, was the most personable of the guides and he went to great lengths to remember everyone's names and made our stay very enjoyable. All the buses we traveled in were very clean and the drivers were very courteous.
Overall we thought that Travel China Guide was very good value and a well run organization. All of our guides were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. We would certainly recommend this China tour to anyone who asks. ... More
The whole process was excellent and having my travel consultant, Abbey, as a named point of contact made a huge difference. She was very responsive to all our requests for information and this is very reassuring when venturing out to such new places for the first time. It was also really great that we met up with her in Xi'an and that was not just a nominal contact.
Guides were all excellent and enthusiastic about their towns. Sara was a particularly good guide to have first (on arrival in Beijing) as she had such good English and was able to explain so much extra about things and people we would meet. Other guides were all clear and enthusiastic guides.
It was good to include a variety of cities and towns such as Chongqing and Yichang and to understand more about real life in China whilst visiting different types of home (Flat, farm, Hutong). All best wishes and thanks again for an excellent holiday. ... More
